Making discrimination data more visible

On 15 October, the Agency took part in an event organised by the German Antidiscrimination Office on making discrimination more visible in data collection.

The discussion focused on the collection of data covering various grounds of discrimination in representative and repeated surveys.

A study mapping 20 surveys in Germany was presented, followed by a panel discussion with representatives from civil society, academia and government. The grounds of discrimination discussed included ethnic origin and minority background, gender, sexual orientation and identity, age, disability, and religion.

While there, FRA also met with the Antidiscrimination Office to discuss current and upcoming projects and possible cooperation.
