Severe labour exploitation explored at Greek Ministry event

The Agency’s ongoing work on severe labour exploitation formed part of discussions during a high-level one-day conference at the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Athens on 30 November.

The conference was held to support the efforts of Greek authorities to combat severe labour exploitation and apply relevant fundamental rights standards effectively. The focus was on trafficking for labour exploitation.

It was held, under the auspices of Council of Europe’s General Secretary Thorbjørn Jagland, and organised by the Hellenic National Coordinator of anti-human trafficking, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Prosecutor of the Supreme Court and the General Secretariat of Human Rights, Ministry of Justice.
