The discussions covered the nature and format of FRA’s regular submissions of its published findings to these mechanisms. It was of particularly interest to those with upcoming reviews of or visits to EU Member States.

FRA also further explored technical aspects in relation to developing its European Union Fundamental Rights Information System with representatives of UN’s human rights office, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the International Labour Organization (ILO).

The system will be an online tool which will retrieve information and data from the UN, Council of Europe, and EU. While in Geneva, FRA also met the civil society organisation, UPR-info, to discuss their online tool related to the Universal Periodic Review.
