UNECE expert meeting covers poverty and inequality

The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) held an expert meeting on measuring poverty and inequality from 29 to 30 November in Vienna.

It was held under the auspices of the Conference of European Statisticians (CES), in partnership with Statistics Austria. The meeting brought together experts from different countries to exchange experiences on the challenges in poverty measurement and way to address them. The agency gave a presentation on experiences of surveying hard-to-reach groups, mainly based on experiences from its minorities and discrimination survey.
