New guidance on receiving unaccompanied children

The European Asylum and Support Office (EASO) has released new guidance on receiving unaccompanied children that it developed in consultation with Member States and other actors, such as FRA.

It aims to support Member States in improving reception conditions for unaccompanied children.

The guidance includes standards and indicators on reception. It also covers specific aspects related to unaccompanied children such as information, participation and representation, identification, assessments and response to special needs and safety risks.
