Presidency conference focuses on tackling antisemitism

The Romanian Presidency of the EU Council held a conference on the fight against antisemitism: a common approach to better protect Jewish communities in Europe – from policy to action.

The aim of this high-level conference was to breathe life into the Council Declaration on antisemitism, adopted in December 2018.

The findings presented and opinions formulated in the FRA antisemitism survey report underpinned many of the discussions held on the day. They also provided a new impetus to the commitment of those present to join their efforts to combat antisemitism.

The conference took place in Brussels on 7 February.
