European Migration Network National Contact Points meet

National Contact Points from the European Migration Network (EMN) met online from 12 to 13 November. These monthly meetings aim to update contact points as well as the European Commission and its Joint Research Centre, the European Asylum Support Office, the European Parliament and FRA about each other’s activities.

The network’s current priority is a series of EMN products on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on migration. FRA’s migration-related findings of the bulletins on the fundamental rights implications of COVID-19 outbreak and its migration bulletins should feed into the network’s March 2021 COVID-19 impact publication. The National Contact Points and external partners also discussed plans on stepping up cooperation with non-EU countries, ongoing studies, and new priorities for 2021-2022. The next National Contact Points meeting will take place on 10 December.
