Updating the handbook on European child rights law

FRA and the Council of Europe met on 10 November to discuss updating the Handbook on European law relating to the rights of the child. The handbook covers relevant Council of Europe and European Union legal standards, as well as case law from the Court of Justice of the EU and the European Court of Human Rights.

It was published in 2014 and is available in 23 EU languages. The update will provide an overview of key developments since its publication, such as in the area of internet safety, procedural safeguards for children accused of crimes, matrimonial matters of parental responsibility and international child abduction.
