Info session for national authorities on FRA’s EU funds report

FRA held an information session for national authorities on the FRA’s report on EU funds: Ensuring compliance with fundamental rights.

EU funds play a vital role in achieving economic and social progress, as well as other national and EU policy goals.

The session looked at the findings and opinions of the report on the national implementation of the EU’s Fundamental Rights Charter and UN’s Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities obligations. It particularly covered the role of national bodies with a human rights remit and civil society in ensuring fundamental rights compliance of EU funds.

The session brought together more than 90 representatives from ministries and other national authorities of 14 countries. It took place online on 10 June.
