Presentation of the Fundamental Rights Report to EU Member States

On 18 June, FRA presented the key findings of the Fundamental Rights Report 2024 to the Working Party on fundamental rights, citizens’ rights and free movement of persons (FREMP) of the Council of the EU.

Members of the Working Party welcomed the report's new, more focused structure, addressing Europe's most pressing fundamental rights issues in 2023: the cost-of-living crisis, migration and rights concerns at the EU’s external borders, and threats to democracy.

It includes FRA’s opinions on these developments, supported by a summary of relevant evidence.
