Fundamental rights training for Bulgarian border police

Mid-level officers of the Bulgarian border police took part in three consecutive workshops on fundamental rights. FRA, together with Frontex Fundamental Rights Office (FRO) and the Bulgarian Office of the UN’s Refugee Agency ran the workshops.

The training sessions took place in three different locations along the Bulgarian – Turkish border between 8 and 12 April.

Each session brought together approximately 15 border guards and two to three Frontex Standing Corps officers.

This support is also reflected in the Cooperation Agreement between the Bulgarian authorities, European Commission and EU Agencies.
