FRA joins annual Computers, Privacy and Data Protection conference

FRA co-sponsored the 2024 Computers, Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP) conference that ran from 22 to 24 May in Brussels. The event takes place every year.

It gathers hundreds of representatives from policy, academia, civil society and business.

FRA hosted a panel on ‘The Impact of Online Content Moderation and Curation on Fundamental Rights: How to Assess, Mitigate and Monitor Systemic Risks on Online Platforms?’. It discussed current opportunities for and challenges of protecting fundamental rights through the EU’s Digital Services Act.

FRA also spoke at a session on Responsible AI in Law Enforcement. It drew from its 2022 report on biased algorithms.

Throughout the event, FRA was also present at an information stand, disseminated its publications and engaged with many participants.
