    In 2015, the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency of Germany (FADA) surveyed people affected by discrimination for an in-depth analysis of discrimination experiences. To enhance the validity and reliability of the survey, its design included possibilities for self-identification of respondents and measures to reach out to respondents from under-represented and/or hard-to-reach groups.

    In 2021, the Integration Department of the Ministry of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region (MIFA), in collaboration with the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and the Centre d’étude et de formation interculturelles et sociales (CEFIS), surveyed a representative sample of the resident population for an in-depth analysis of racism and ethno-racial discrimination experiences. The survey’s design included, inter alia, the option for respondents to self-identify and measures to reach out to respondents from under-represented and hard-to-reach groups.

    The survey on housing transition projects is the first step of a wider research project that involves the National Statistical Institute (Istat), the national equality body (UNAR) and Roma representatives of the National Roma Associations Platform. The aim is to improve statistical knowledge on the Roma population in Italy by developing a system of indicators to monitor inclusion policies, with a special focus on Roma housing transitions.

    The survey on safety is a victimisation survey that was launched on 1 October 2020 and covered the population of people aged 16 or over living in the Grand Duchy. It collected detailed information on crimes and offences affecting this population over the last five years, during the last year and throughout their lifetime.

    The Advocate of the Principle of Equality conducted a survey on the perceptions of discrimination and experiences of discrimination among the general population in Slovenia. The results of the survey were first published in the 2017 annual report of the Advocate of the Principle of Equality in April 2018.
