On 7-8 June, FRA took part in the third second meeting of the ‘Operational Platform on Roma Equality (OPRE)’, a joint initiative of the Council of Europe, FRA, European Network of Equality Bodies (Equinet) and European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI).
The Fundamental Rights Forum 2016 is fast approaching with only 10 days left until the event begins on 20 June in Vienna. Over the course of four days, participants will look from different perspectives at three burning issues: refugee protection, inclusion and the digital age.
On 10 May, FRA took part in the OSCE’s Human Dimension Committee Meeting on ‘Tolerance and Non-Discrimination’ in connection with the OSCE’s commitments and implementation of the OSCE Action Plan on improving the situation of Roma and Sinti.
On 27-29 April, FRA took part in field visits to Lille and Strasbourg to support the fieldwork experts who are implementing the local project plans as part of FRA’s Local Engagement for Roma Inclusion (LERI) project.
The FRA Director Michael O’Flaherty met on 15 April with the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Michael Georg Link, and the Head of ODIHR’s Human Rights Department.
