About the traineeship

FRA offers traineeships, with the aim to:

  • enable trainees to apply knowledge from their studies, particularly in their areas of competence, and introduce them to professional responsibilities and opportunities;
  • provide trainees with an understanding of FRA’s objectives and activities, as well as practical experience of its day-to-day work;
  • offer a multicultural work environment that fosters mutual understanding, trust and tolerance;
  • promote European integration through active participation and awareness of European values;
  • allow FRA to benefit from their fresh perspectives and knowledge and to create a pool of goodwill ambassadors for FRA.

Who can apply?

To be eligible for a traineeship at FRA, you must meet the following conditions:

  • Be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union (27), EEA countries (3) or EU candidate countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, and Ukraine) or potential candidate countries (Kosovo);
  • Have completed university studies (obtained a degree diploma) by one month prior to the start date of the traineeship (i.e. no later than 1 September 2025) and no more than 3 years prior to the start date of the traineeship.
