From 2 to 4 June, policymakers, practitioners, academics and civil society meet at the World Congress on Justice with Children 2025 in Madrid. The focus will be on advancing child-centred justice, preventing and responding to violence affecting children in child justice systems.

At the Europe Regional Plenary, FRA, together with representatives from the Council of Europe, the European Commission and UN Human Rights Office, will discuss how supranational organisations in Europe can effectively accelerate child-centred justice and what strategies to prioritise.

FRA will also contribute to a thematic session on protecting procedural rights of children in the digital age and a workshop on advocating for child-friendly justice in challenging times.

FRA will draw from the findings of its reports on Integrated Child Protection Systems, Child-friendly justice, Children as suspects or accused persons and its Handbook on European child rights law.  A FRA information stand will be available with print publications on children’s rights and FRA survey data covering young age groups
