The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) regularly invites regional offices responsible for promoting and protecting human rights to consultations on how to coordinate their work better.

FRA will take part in the international workshop on enhancing cooperation between regional and international mechanisms for the promotion and protection of human rights.

It will take place in Geneva on 21 and 22 October. FRA will present its European Union Fundamental Rights Information Tool (EFRIS), the FRA focus chapter Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals in the EU: a matter of human and fundamental rights of the 2019 Fundamental Rights Report. It will also debrief the group on the side event jointly organized by the Agency and the OHCHR on ‘Human Rights and the 2030 Agenda: Leaving No One Behind while Accelerating SDG Implementation’ organized at the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) 2019 on Sustainable Development.

The workshop will bring together representatives from the European Court of Human Rights, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the OSCE and other regional mechanisms.
