FRA raises awareness of guidance on fundamental rights monitoring systems

FRA took part in the European conference on ‘EU Legislation after the Pact on Migration & Asylum’ on 17-18 October.

The event, organised by the Odysseus Academic Network for Legal Studies on Immigration and Asylum in Europe in Brussels, was an opportunity to raise awareness of FRA’s new guidance on how to set up independent national mechanisms to monitor fundamental rights compliance in the context of screening and the asylum border procedures.

FRA also discussed other strands of the Agency’s work related to the new EU Pact on Migration and Asylum, including the forthcoming online awareness raising tool on EU large-scale IT systems on borders, visas, asylum and migration and their interoperability.
