Training on rights and facial recognition technology in law enforcement

On 11 November, FRA gave an online presentation on the fundamental rights considerations of using facial recognition technology in law enforcement.

FRA focused on the EU fundamental rights framework and findings from its focus paper on facial recognition technology

It was part of a course on ‘Facial Image Comparison and Facial Recognition Systems’, run by the EU Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL). The course was organised together with Europol and the Danish National ID Centre.
