The event is being organised by the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the EU. Promoting the concept of the ‘Economy of Wellbeing’ is one of the priorities of the Finnish Presidency.
The Director will join Tanel Kiik, the Estonian Social Affairs Minister, Minna Kelhä, the Finnish State Secretary for Education and Culture on a panel on reducing inequality and providing equal opportunities. He will focus his remarks on the link between fundamental rights-in particular social rights and the economy of wellbeing.
The conference will feed into draft Council Conclusions on the Economy of Wellbeing, scheduled to be adopted in October.
