It drew on case law from the EU’s Court of Justice (CJEU), the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) and national courts.
The event took place on 23-24 March in Luxembourg, the seat of the EU’s Court of Justice. The CJEU, the ECtHR, the International Association of Refugee and Migration Judges and the Association of European Administrative Judges jointly organised the event.
It brought together over 150 judges from 27 EU+ countries, as well as from a number of non-EU countries from Europe. Representatives of the CJEU, ECtHR, EUAA, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and FRA also attended.
It was an opportunity to learn about case law developments in the field of the EU asylum laws.
