FRA shares its views with Council Working Party on criminal cooperation

On 6 September in Brussels, FRA presented its work in the area of the European arrest warrant, mutual trust and criminal detention to the Council of the EU’s working party on criminal cooperation (COPEN).

The meeting was organised by the Finnish Presidency. FRA spoke about alternatives to criminal detention and conditions of detention.

It also referred to the ongoing research regarding access to a Lawyer in the EAW proceedings and conditions of detention, in advance of its report that will be published on 27 September.
