At the meeting, participants from 12 European cities, the European Commission and FRA performed a peer review of Braga’s Roma integration policy. The meeting also served to identify key principles and practices to be included in the upcoming guidelines for cities on effective Roma inclusion strategy. At the event,
FRA highlighted the importance of addressing anti-gypsyism in Roma actions and policies through targeted measures to both Roma and the general public. FRA also emphasised the importance of the participation of Roma in all matters concerning them, building upon the results of its local engagement for Roma inclusion project.
