FRA’s Director Michael O’Flaherty will introduce the opening high-level panel at the first European Summit against Racism, as foreseen in the EU Anti-racism Action Plan 2020-2025.

The panel will explore taking the European Action Plan against Racism from words to action.

The Director will set the scene mapping the situation of racism and racial discrimination in the EU, drawing from FRA research.

The virtual summit will take place on 19 March. European Commission President Von der Leyen will open the summit.

It will bring together EU Commissioners, national ministers, MEPs, community representatives and various other stakeholders to send a strong signal against racism on the International Day against Racial Discrimination.
