Branding 10 years of the EU's Fundamental Rights Charter

On 1 December this year it will be 10 years that the EU’s Charter of Fundamental Rights entered into legal force. To mark a decade of human rights protection through a written bill of rights at EU level, FRA has put the anniversary branding on its website.

The branding can be used by everybody free of charge.

EU institutions, EU agencies, government bodies, human rights institutions, civil society organisations – everybody who is organising an event, preparing a publication or drafting communication material related to the fundamental rights - should use the logo (available in landscape and portrait formats).

Each year FRA also follows the implementation of the Charter in its Fundamental Rights Report. It also illustrates how the Charter relates to the national legal systems in each EU Member State in Charter country-sheets.

The agency also provides Charter tools for practitioners such as the Charterpedia or the handbook on the application of the Charter in national law and policymaking. In its opinion on the challenges and opportunities for the implementation of the Charter, FRA called for better use the Charter’s potential and added value.

This new branding of the Charter’s anniversary aim at increasing the visibility and awareness of the EU’s bill of rights. Just use it!
