While in the UK, the Director met civil society organisations. These included the Community Security Trust, a charity whose purpose is to provide safety, security and advice to the Jewish community in the UK. CST also collects statistics on antisemitic incidents in the UK, which have risen sharply recently following events in the Middle East.
The Director also met with the Executive Director of Article 19, an international human rights organisation that works to defend and promote freedom of expression and freedom of information worldwide.
