FRA is carrying out the third round of its survey on discrimination and hate crime against Jews. The survey will be carried out online in 13 EU Member States (AT, BE, CZ, DE, DK, ES, FR, HU, IT, NL, PL, RO, SE). All people aged 16 years or older who self-identify as Jewish and who live in one of the Member States covered by the survey are invited to take part in the survey which launches on 25th January 2023.
Results are expected to be available at the end of 2024.
This survey provides all relevant stakeholders in the field of antisemitism – as well as promoting the Jewish way of life – with the most comprehensive source of reliable evidence on their experiences of antisemitism among Jews in the EU, including online. This evidence can form the basis for taking targeted action to protect Jewish life in the EU. The results of previous rounds of the survey were used by the European Commission for the development of the EU Strategy on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life. National policy makers used it to draft national strategies, and it is also a valuable source of information for researchers and civil society organisations.
The survey will be conducted online. All people aged 16 years or older who self-identify as Jewish, regardless of their affiliation, and who live in one of the Member States covered by the survey, will be invited - through awareness raising activities - to participate in the survey from 25th January 2023 onwards. To achieve a sample that matches the diversity of the Jewish population, FRA, together with the contractor Kantar Public and its partners, will reach out to stakeholders, civil society organisations and different Jewish communities to widely disseminate the invitation to take part in the survey.
