EUAA defines asylum standards and indicators

The EU Asylum Agency (EUAA) held the first meeting of the working groups for drafting standards and indicators on reception conditions and vulnerabilities.

It took place in Malta from 6 to 8 December.

The groups are formed by representatives from the European Commission, several Member States, civil society, the UN Refugee Agency and FRA.

The aim is to develop standards and indicators to support Member States in assessing and improving the reception conditions of asylum seekers. They will also take into consideration asylum seekers’ vulnerabilities in asylum procedures and in reception.
