On 1 July, at the Global Campus of Human Rights in Venice, FRA will participate in a roundtable discussion on the experiences, challenges and successes of EU fundamental rights training and online learning in particular.

FRA will provide feedback from past activities, but also give an outlook on its future Charter capacity-building activities and tools.

Recent examples include the e-Media Toolkit, its handbook on Applying the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights in law and policymaking at national level and the Charter country sheets for all EU Member States that give examples of the Charter’s use at national level.

The event is organised by e-NACT, a Charter e-learning project, which is coordinated by the European University Institute (EUI) in cooperation with the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) and supported by the European Commission.

The e-NACT project provides training activities and tools in areas important for the application of the Charter, i.e. asylum and migration, data protection, children rights, social rights in the labour field, freedom of expression and hate speech.
