The school is part of the ‘Strengthening Ukraine’s EU Alignment in the Rule of Law’ project run by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
The project assists the government of Ukraine in its efforts to align Ukrainian legislation with the EU law. It focuses on areas related to the judiciary, fundamental rights, justice, freedom and security.
On 5 August, FRA will provide another online presentation of the agency and its work for another programme, the 2025 Summer Programme in European Union Law. Kyiv Institute for European Integration and Concordia University coordinate this programme.
The programme is designed for Ukrainian government lawyers and policymakers, practicing lawyers and law students. It aims to increase knowledge levels in key areas of European law and to educate current and future leaders of Ukraine about EU law’s ever-expanding scope and requirements.
Later in the year, FRA will receive visits from judges of Ukraine’s Supreme Court as well as the Ukrainian Parliament’s Human Rights Commissioner, Dmytro Lubinets.
