During parliamentary question time a Member of the Chamber of Deputies submitted an interpellation to the Minister of Culture. He asked why the Czech Republic did not join Poland which was challenging Article 17 of the Copyright Directive before the CJEU. Minister Zaorálek explained that, according to the legal analysis provided by the General Secretariat of the EU Council, Article 17 of the Copyright Directive is in compliance with the Charter. Therefore, the Czech Republic did not see any reason to challenge it.
