During national day of gender equality in Serbia, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Prevention of Violence against Women will host the Alliance for Equality conference.
FRA will hold a post-fieldwork meeting that bring together Franet research partners to discuss the main first-hand findings and highlights from each country of its online child safety project. The Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union will host an Informal Ministerial Conference in Nicosia from 11 to 12 June to mark the entry into application of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum. The event will discuss the implementation of the EU Pact, future challenges and cooperation needs.
FRA intervened during the EU–Western Balkans Civil Society Conference: Trust and Partnership at the Heart of EU Enlargement, on 29 May in Vienna. The event was organised by the European Economic and Social Committee jointly with the Cyprus Presidency of the EU, the European Commission and the Open Society Foundation.
The European Guardianship Network met in Utrecht 28 and 29 May to discuss the challenges and implementation of the EU’s Pact on Migration and Asylum in the area of guardianship for unaccompanied children.
On 2 June, FRA in partnership with Slovenian partners, held a meeting on preventing violence against people with disabilities in institutions. The partners included Slovenia’s Social Protection Institute, the Centre for Deinstitutionalisation, the Museum of Madness, the Advocacy Centre and the Slovenian Ombudswoman.
From 2 to 3 June, FRA joined the Plenary Meeting of the Steering Committee (CDENF) that oversees the implementation of the Council of Europe’s Child Rights Strategy. FRA provided input to draft Recommendations and Guidelines in the areas of child participation, child-friendly justice, and integrated services for children.
FRA took part in the annual meeting of the Bar European Group that took place from 24 to 26 May in Barcelona.
FRA joined an online technical exchange on 28 May on policies for protecting Roma people. The meeting was a follow up to the EU-Brazil Human Rights Dialogue.
On 29 May in Prague, FRA took part in the Pride Business Forum, the Annual Conference of the European Pride Business Network (EPBN).

The FRA Director delivers opening remarks during the First European Forum on Environmental Human Rights Defenders: Improving Protection and Enhancing Collaboration. The Forum took place on 3 June at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
FRA contributed to the launch event of a publication on civic space monitoring for an EU-funded civic space monitoring initiative called “PROSECO project (Empowering Ecosystems of Civil Society Organisations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia).
FRA in cooperation with national authorities and the national partner 'Social Protection Institute of the Republic of Slovenia', will hold a national event in Ljubljana, focusing on protection, prevention and response to violence against people with disabilities in institutions.
FRA will contribute to a webinar by the Open Government Partnership (OGP) on solutions to a decade of civic space backtracking. The panel discussion will provide an overview of the current state of civil society in Europe.

On 1 June, FRA will present the findings of its surveys - EU-MIDIS, LGBTIQ, Roma/Travellers survey, Antisemitism survey, EU gender-based violence survey, Violence and rights abuses against women from Ukraine - at a full-day event at the Science Po University in Paris.
FRA took part in a meeting of a Forum on Posting of Workers, organised by the European Labour Authority (ELA) in Bratislava. The meeting focused on the situation of non-EU nationals posted between Member States. 
The housing crisis, rising levels of homelessness, labour exploitation, and threats to people’s rights online. These are some of the challenges highlighted in FRA’s Fundamental Rights Report. The report examines threats to rights and the EU’s founding values, in areas like democratic lawmaking, digital governance, internal security and the treatment of migrants. Amid global political instability and security threats, this report is a call to the European Union and Member States to protect fundamental rights and to reinforce democracy.
Online fraud affects 1 in 4 Europeans, according to recent survey data from the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA). Fake goods or services and impersonation scams are common. FRA’s findings aim to shape responses on how best to prevent online fraud and to support victims, in line with their fundamental rights.
