Key findings
According to the Ministry report, the right-wing extremist scene increasingly devote considerable amounts of resources to their movements. In 2016, the Austrian security authorities registered a total of 1,313 right-wing extremist, xenophobic/ racist, Islamophobic, anti-Semitic as well as unspecific or other criminal acts. Compared to 2015 (1,156 offences) there was an increase by 13.6 percent.
