Penal Code (Bausmių vykdymo kodeksasConvicted detainees who are children, i.e. under the age of 18, have to be kept separately from adults by keeping them in different correctional institutions or isolated from each other in the same institution. As an exception, convicted detainees under the age of 24, who started serving their sentences as children and who pose a low risk of criminal behaviour, can be kept with convicted detainees who are children.
Law on the Execution of Pre-trial Detention (Suėmimo vykdymo įstatymas)Pre-trial detainees who are children have to be kept isolated from adults, i.e. kept in different remand prison cells.
