Law on the Procedure for Holding under Arrest (Apcietinājumā turēšanas kārtības likums)For prisoners, if advised by doctor, it can be 1.5 hours. Juveniles in pre-trial detention have the right to no less than 2 hours of outdoor exercise per day; however, if placed in a disciplinary isolation cell, juveniles are only allowed an hour and a half of daily exercise. Outdoor walking areas for juveniles in pre-trial detention shall have equipment suitable for active physical exercise.

Maija noteikumi Nr. 423 ʺBrīvības atņemšanas iestādes iekšējās kārtības noteikumiʺ)The head of the detention facility approves internal rules for daily prison regime, which includes time for work, education, regime activities, meals, head counts, outdoor exercise, rest time, and non-interrupted eight-hours of night rest.
