Key findings

The annual report of the CET makes it possible to follow up the activities, encounters and interviews carried out during the year by this equality body. The most important information are the statistics: From 1 January 2013 to 31 December 2013, 87 new complaints of discrimination were identified by CET.

Methodology (Qualitative/Quantitative and exact type used, questionnaires etc)

The statistics of CET include every case of discrimination identified as such by the equality body, whether the complaint had been introduced by the victim itself or by a third person. The CET screens also the non respect of equal conditions in job announcements.

Sample details and representativeness

In 2013 there were 96 reported cases. They are ordered and analysed by gender, age, nationality, nature of discrimination (4 cases for religion and 16 for race in 2013), domain of discrimination and follow-up status for each case.
