Key findings

Annual Activity Report of the Service for the Assistance of the Victims of discrimination based on racial or ethnic origin that highlights among its main achievements:
- The consolidation of a pioneer service that has been developed by the Council for the Elimination of Racial or ethnic discrimination largely working in partnership with specialized eight civil society institutions
- Facilitating the creation of a professional and specialized structure at the State level that assists victims of racial or ethnic discrimination.

The profile of the victims and the type of discriminatory incidents reported, was similar to previous years, victims were generally under 45 years of age, more men than women entered complaints, the Gypsy community and the sub-Saharan population stand out as the most affected groups.

It is based on a total of 631 cases recorded, of which 381 were individual and 250 collective.

To do this, it has a protocol for action, followed by all the organizations that make up the service, so that all incidents are handled under the same procedure and that the data collected can be comparatively analyzed.
