Key findings

In 2022, ZARA documented and dealt with 1,479 reports of racism. 24% of the reports of racism received by ZARA came from those directly affected. ZARA most frequently received reports that were related to the victim’s (actual or ascribed) affiliation to Islam. In 313 cases, anti-Muslim racism was visible on both the structural and individual level.
