Key findings
In its Observations to CERD for the latest periodic reports for Greece, GNCHR stressed the need to include the statistics of the substantial state actions taken against racist incidents based on religion and perpetrators and any proactive and preventive actions, investigations and their outcome and the support of the survivors. It expressed its concerns for attacks against religious sites, including the bombing of a mosque in Athens in 2022 and the lack of concrete national policy for tackling Anti-Muslim hatred and Antisemitism in Greece.
