Methodology (Qualitative/Quantitative and exact type used, questionnaires etc)
The center, by its mandate, regularly monitors human rights topics in public discourse, for example through analyses of public perception of human rights or media portrayals of specific human rights issues. The aim of the research report was to analyze the ways and context of portraying religious groups in the Slovak media environment. For the purposes of the analysis, media outputs containing some of the keywords defined according to the most represented religions in the Slovak Republic were searched among online news articles. Data collection was carried out through the Mediaboard application in the first half of 2024, i.e., from January 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024. It monitored the 20 most visited online news portals. The total number of identified media contributions was 9,864.
