Key findings

The study explores the experiences and coping strategies of persons affected by anti-Muslim hatred. It finds that 80% of the respondents from the quantitative online-survey experience anti-Muslim discrimination of harassment, whereas 57% of the respondents have never sought any support measures (counselling, reporting an incident, lodging a complaint or criminal procedures). However, the majority of respondents affected by anti-Muslim hatred are aware that they are discriminated against and/or harassed (16 out of 18 of the interviewees). Respondents who have never sought support mechanisms stated to prefer informational material online or by private contacts/family/friends.
