Key findings

During a national survey, respondents were asked to share their positive and negative opinion for religious groups including Muslims. During the survey 31,3% of the respondents stated they had a positive opinion about Muslims, 61,6% stated they had negative opinions about Muslims, while 7,1% did not respond.

Methodology (Qualitative/Quantitative and exact type used, questionnaires etc)

Quantitative data derived from a question-based survey including telephone survey (Simple random sampling of a file of fixed and mobile phone numbers generated in a random manner) and online survey (Random selection based on quotas from online panel).

Sample details and representativeness

Telephone and internet survey with a sample of 1.104 people aged 17 and over (903 by phone and 201 online). Maximum sampling error was ±3%. The sample included respondents from all over Greece, with 40,8% located in the Attica Region, 28,9% in Northern Greece, 20.9% Central Greece and 9,4% in Crete and the Aegean Islands.
