Key findings
The National Report concluded that there were 1,161 Hate crimes and incidents cases recorded in 2022. It does not include a specific reference to anti-Muslim hatred. It registered 25% of the cases based on racism, xenophobia and 16% of the cases based on religious beliefs or religious practices and 27% based on ideology. Other grounds registered were: antisemitism (17%), disability (26%), sexual orientation and gender identity (17%). In terms of methodology, it included a differentiation between criminal offences and administrative offences.

Sample details and representativeness
The data were obtained through the Crime Statistics System (statistical system of criminality (SEC)). For its computation takes into account the facts that have being acknowledge by the following police corps: Guardia Civil, the National Police, the independent police of the different autonomous communities (Ertzaintza and Mossos d'esquadra and Policía Foral de Navarra) as well as the Local Police groups.
