| Prisons Regulations (Prisons Regulations, Subsidiary Legislation 260.03) | There is a national minimum standard of not less than an hour per day (weather permitting) of outdoor activities, in the open air, with the possibility of the Director of Prisons reducing this time in exceptional circumstances. Exercise consisting of physical training may be given indoors instead of in the open air. There is an establishment of a timetable for detainees to follow, which includes hours reserved for work, meals, study, exercise and recreation. |
