Legal instrument Key provision

Unrestricted visits allow inmates to receive visits from their families and others for at least one hour – and to the extent possible, two hours – every week. Supervised visits are observed by staff and in exceptional circumstances carried through a room with a glass partition. Prohibitions - denying visits - take place if there are security and safety reasons or when an inmate has been radicalised.
