Functions

• Supervises the implementation of the memorandum, which has been signed by 540 non-governmental organisations.
• Furthers the goal of the memorandum to foster the development of civil society and its involvement in decision-making processes at all stages and all levels of state governance.

Specific mandates

Structured cooperation with partners at national level

• Reviews draft documents, upon referral by the government, that deal with the development of civil society and the activities of non-governmental organisations.
• Selects civil-society representatives to join national cooperation and supervision structures, such as the meetings of the State Secretary, the meetings of the Committee of the Cabinet of Ministers, the meetings of the National Tripartite Cooperation Council, and working groups created by ministries or other governmental bodies.

Structured cooperation with partners at international and EU level

• Selects representatives to join the European Economic and Social Committee.
