It is reported that in 2019, 950 crimes were registered as "hostile to Islam". These are 40 more crimes than in 2018, a rise of 4.4 per cent. 856 of the registered crime were committed by right-wing offenders.

Methodology (Qualitative/Quantitative and exact type used, questionnaires etc)

Figures were drawn from the police crime statistics (Polizeiliche Kriminalstatistik) on "politically motivated crime" (politisch motivierte Kriminalität) which includes "hostile to Islam" (islamfeindlich) as a new category since January 2017.
