The overview on hate crime registered by the police between 2017 and 2019 includes a section on crimes registered as "hostile to Islam". Accordingly, the overall figures of such crimes were 1,075 in 2017, 910 i 2018 and 950 in 2019. The figures for violent crimes were 56 in 2017, 74 in 2018 and 60 in 2019.

Methodology (Qualitative/Quantitative and exact type used, questionnaires etc)

Figures were drawn from the police crime statistics (Polizeiliche Kriminalstatistik) on "politically motivated crime" (politisch motivierte Kriminalität) which includes "hostile to Islam" (islamfeindlich) as a new category since January 2017.
