State Security Service concluded that the overall threat posed by both right-wing and left-wing radical and extremist organisations remained low in Latvia. The right and left-wing persons operate autonomously or in marginal groups with a few associates, mostly online, sharing their opinion in blogs, forums, Facebook groups or by spreading hostile messages and comments online against globalisation, migrants, specific ethnic groups or races, sexual minorities etc.
