Key findings
The annual report of the Centre for Equal Treatment (Centre d'Egalité de Traitement or CET) makes it possible to follow up the activities, encounters and interviews carried out during the year by the equality body. The most relevant information are the statistics: from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019, 138 new complaints of discrimination had been identified by CET. In 2019 there had been 155 ongoing reported cases before CET, out of which 9 cases concerned discrimination on the basis of religion and 31 on the basis of race or ethnic origin.
Methodology (Qualitative/Quantitative and exact type used, questionnaires etc)
Qualitative and quantitative research. The statistics of CET include every case of discrimination identified as such by the equality body, whether the complaint had been introduced by the victim itself or by a third person.
